The third annual Closing the Gap: The Next 150 Conference will be in Ottawa on April 6th and 7th 2018.
This edition of CTG promises to provide the deepest and richest experience so far, with a focus this year on Reconciliation and health. As we better understand how social, economic, and environmental factors impact health, there is a growing desire to improve the conditions in which we live as a path to greater wellbeing. Upstream invites you to join them in exploring the best ways to move conversation into action. The event will bring together decision-makers, health care workers, students, researchers, and others who see the vital connections between Reconciliation, policy and health.
This year's inspiring group of speakers include Tanya Talaga, author of Seven Fallen Feathers, Jesse Thistle, a strong voice in Indigenous housing, well-known journalist André Picard, as well as Minister of Indigenous Services Jane Philpott, federal NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh, health expert and physician Dr. Marcia Anderson, artist Jordan Raymond, and many more.
